With great joy and appreciation, WELCOME. “This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.”
In historical terms, a legacy is something that is handed down from one period of time to another period of time. Often it means something handed down from an ancestor or predecessor. In loose terms it is sometimes said that countries or civilizations can leave a legacy that will be remembered for a long time.
* Delivered by PNAAF President Merlita Velasquez on July 29, 2018 during the Blessing and Ribbon-cutting Ceremony of the PNAA-PNAAF Legacy Headquarters, 1364 How Lane Block 37, Lot 1 North Brunswick, NJ
THE PNAA/PNAAF LEGACY BUILDING:
Let me share to you how I define LEGACY…
Look after…stewardship…GROWING: God working in and through us; SERVING: Allowing God to use you; GIVING: Managing God’s resources.
Endearment – this is a fruit of mutual love and affection to the members of PNAA, PNAAF
GREATNESS in humility – a mark of excellence
AGREEMENT – COVENANT – a bond that binds us together… forever… “to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.”
Continual…SUSTAINABILITY… “WHAT I STAND FOR IS WHAT I STAND ON.”
YES! TO CHANGE…to innovation…to inspire…to synergize.
This home we call ours will remind us of what we have done (PAST)…what we are doing (present) and what we will be doing (future). WE ARE FILIPINO NURSES: Nurses who have minds that are conscientious, hands and feet that are competent, and hearts that are compassionate. And I am proud to be a FILIPINO NURSE…I am proud to be part of PNAA and PNAAF.
“ALWAYS UNDER THE SAME STARS.
FINALLY UNDER THE SAME ROOF.”
PNAAF President, 2017-2019
